2022 Social Work/Community Intervention.

As part of the criteria for GPI safe space beneficiaries to graduate from the programme, opportunity is given to them to identify certain socio-economic and other issues affecting other young people in their environment/community and explore ways to address such issues with the knowledge gained from the program.

The activity held at Margaret Ekpo Secondary school and Government Secondary school Atu Calabar on the 29th and 30th of June respectively. Over 250 students were reached with information on sexual abuse/harrassment, cultism, career choices, communication skills, self-esteem, safety tips, etc.

The students expressed excitement as some of their concerns were discussed and follow up cases identified.
