International Women’s Day 2023 theme “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for gender equality”. This highlights the role of innovation in promoting gender equality and equity. It is also a call to deploy efforts to support country-driven innovations and approaches to close the existing digital gender divide. By doing this, we will ensure that disadvantaged and vulnerable population also benefit equitably from digital and technological innovations for their improved health and well-being.

Let us also work to ensure that women and girls are safe and free from online gender-based violence, including cyber-stalking, sexual harassment, trafficking, and gross breaches of privacy.

Again, it is a day to #EmbraceEquity. Let create an inclusive world.  Imagine a world where individual differences are valued, a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination, a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive. This world is possible if we raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. Each one of us can actively support and embrace equity within our own sphere of influence. When we embrace equity, we embrace diversity and inclusion.
