Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Calabar Center, with support from HIVOS under the WeLead project, hosted a 3-day training on Safety and Security for Rights Holders and Youth-Led/Focused SRHR Organizations. The training took place at GPI conference hall from August 27th to 29th, 2024.

 

The training aimed to:

– Increase participants’ knowledge and skills on personal and organizational safety and security

– Strengthen participants’ skills in crisis management

– Develop or review safety plans/protocols for participating organizations.

 In attendance were 30 participants from Some RHs groups and representatives from youth-led organisations in CRS which includes; Heartland Alliance, Initiative for Men’s Health, Women Living Disabilities, Youth Touch Initiative and JONAPWD.

 At the end of the training, participants developed an organizational safety and security protocols for their different organizations.
