Ndodeye Bassey-Obongha is a Humanitarian and Human rights activist with over 18 years’ experience working on the rights and health of girls and women.

She holds a bachelors’ degree in political science and has over 20years work experience working with NGOs, Partners and International Organizations.

She has worked in various capacities in the NGO world holding positions such as Deputy Coordinator, Head of Programmes and Program Officer Media and Advocacy with Girls Power Initiative as well as Special Adviser to the Governor on CSOs/NGOs.

She served as project Manager for the Cross River State Learning About Living (LAL) project, a One World UK project from 2007-2009, Country co-ordinator AMANITARE women’s rights network (South Africa) project 2010-2013 and was a panelist at the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGASS) 2014, in New York, USA where she advocated to Heads of Countries for an end to child, early and forced marriage.
