Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) calabar center held a 2-day Capacity building training on sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and inclusive SRHR laws and policies in Cross River State on 17th & 18th of January 2023 as part of WeLead project activities supported by HIVOS. Participants at the training included media persons from 13 print and electronic media houses including the social media, security agencies (police and civil defense), traditional amd religious leaders, ministries of women affairs and health etc. The training was targeted at increasing the capacity of the stakeholders and influencers to increasingly adopt, review and implement laws and policies that respect and protect the SRHR of young women especially right holders.
