Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) centre held a 3-Day Capacity Building Training of Gender Focal Officers from selected Ministries Department and Agencies and organisations in Cross River State.

This training which is organised with support from Girls Not Bride aims to strengthen the capacity of 30 strategic stakeholders in Cross River State on the promotion and protection of women and girls right. And to increase strategic stakeholders knowledge on the need to allocate budgetary provisions to issues concerning women and girls, especially ending child marriage.

Built capacities of participants will strengthen the system to respond to issues of violence against girls and women, and make changes in implementation of Cross River State/L.G.A. programmes relating to all forms of abuse on girls and women, especially child marriage.
