GPI Calabar center joins the world on this remarkable day March 8, 2024 to celebrate women all over the world with the theme: Inspire inclusion

Achieving gender equality and women’s well-being is more crucial than ever if we must have a prosperous economy and a healthy planet.

As we mark this day, we pay recognition to the accomplishments, resilience, and fortitude of women worldwide. The unwavering spirit, the fight for equality, inclusion, dismantling stereotypes and deconstruction of patriarchy.

Although women still face challenges in some key areas such as leadership and decision making, violence against women and girls, continuous feminisation of poverty etc.

We hope this day inspires us all to be more intentional in ensuring Gender equality and inclusion in our governance structures, leadership within and outside family circles, decision making processes, programmes and budgets and reaffirms our commitment to empowering women.
