As part of the requirements for graduation from the 3 years comprehensive sexuality education and safe space program, Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Calabar Centre conducted a social work and community intervention on the 17th of July, 2024 at Esuk Otu Community, Calabar Municipality Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The purpose of the social work and community intervention was to disseminate information acquired during their training under the GPI Programme to specific communities and to identify and address certain social issues. This initiative aimed to put into practice what the girls have gained from GPI.
A total of twenty-three (23) girls from the Seeders and Damsels graduating groups participated in the activity. They were accompanied by GPI staff members, including Volunteers and interns.
