Community outreach to improve the sexual and reproductive health and right of rights holders.

Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Calabar Centre, with Support from HIVOS, implemented the WeLead project for Community outreach to improve the sexual and reproductive health and right of rights holders. The outreach was held at Odukpani Local Government Council Hall in Cross River State, Calabar on the 26th of October, 2023.

The aim of the outreach was to sensitize the Community Members on sexual rights health services and information available for right holders.

This was facilitated by a trained health Service Provider in the community with support from the GPI Team.

The Outreach had in attendance over 100 Community Members all drawn from Odukpani Local Government Area.

At the end of the Outreach, an Advocacy Ask, VAPP law and Disability right law was handed over to the Women leader of the community in order to help them understand their rights and to make informed decisions when needed.
