At the 60th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW60) held in New York City from the 14th  to 24th of March 2016, Girls’ Power Initiative Nigeria was present and the staff members presented a session with the theme “GPI as Best Practice for Women’s Empowerment for Sustainable Development”

In their presentation, the staff highlighted the various programs of the organization and what they have achieved in provision of services for orphans and vulnerable children, household economic strengthening programs for caregivers, reintegration of children on the move, setting up of small scale enterprise for victims of trafficking and returned children on the move and the progress report of the organization based in Nigeria.
