The Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) is a team of 10 volunteers set-up by Education as a Vaccine (EVA) in collaboration with Girl’s Power Initiative (GPI) Nigeria, Calabar centre in 2017 with the objective of building leadership and advocacy skills in young people to enable them advocate for their sexual reproductive health needs and that of the young people towards reducing incidence of sexual abuse and its attendant challenges.

To achieve their objective, Advocacy activities where planned as follows;

–    Training on Policy Analysis organized by GPI

–    Training on Advocacy organized by GPI

–    Cross River State Health Summit organized by UNFPA, CUSO International and GPI

–    Advocacy Visit to Youth Friendly Health Center organized by YAG

–    Nigerian Children/s Day – Essay Competition organized by YAG

–    Day of the African Child Organized by GPI and YAG

–    Advocacy Visit to Commissioner Women Affairs organized by YAG

–    International Youth Day organized by GPI, Ministry of Health and Basic Rights Counsel Initiative

–    Network to Curb Sexual Abuse of girls and Women Meetings organized by GPI

–    International Day of the Girl child organized by GPI, Development Options and Prevent Abuse of Children Today

–    Radio Program on Volunteerism and advocacy organized by GPI and YAG

–    Meeting on YFHS organized by UNFPA
