As part of activities to celebrate the International Day of the Girl child 2023, Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Calabar Centre, facilitated a one-day meeting for adolescent girls on the state of the Nigerian Girl Summit (SONGS).
Participants were drawn from selected secondary schools and communities.
The forum created a safe space for the girls to discuss
their experiences and concerns they face in their various environment as well as aspirations.
